Kate and Hannah took an 262 foot abseil for Emerge Poverty Free. Kate told us; “Doing an abseil was on my “bucket list” for one day, but when this challenge came up in aid of a great cause it seemed like a perfect arrangement. There was a moment of hesitation as I stepped out onto the platform ready to descent but the view and the thrill quickly dispelled any doubts. If there’ something you dream of doing or a challenge that lights a spark for you, I’d say go for it! It’s a wonderful way to give to others.”
Hannah said: “Stepping off the platform was pretty scary, I’m not afraid of heights but there was a lot of air between my feet and the ground and I was only hanging by some ropes! I usually have my feet firmly on the ground but I was really pleased to take on this challenge for a great cause alongside Kate.”
